Good Weekend for Polo, CIF 1st Round

UCLA played UCI, Concordia, and UCSD this weekend, winning all 3. Clay had a couple of sweet goals and at least one excellent assist. Clinton's arm seems to be healing nicely, range of motion is extended to 120. Some pain still.

Davy played well Saturday in the Frosh/Soph defeat of The Bishops at Newport's pool. Varsity forgot their rythm until the 4th quarter and so they didn't have time to come back, losing 6-5.

Here are the first-round matchups for Division I water polo (matches on Wed):

Irvine at No. 1 Foothill

Ventura at Loyola

University at Newport

Wild-card A at No. 4 Santa Barbara (winner of Tuesday’s match: Huntington Beach at Notre Dame/SO)

Buena at No. 3 Los Alamitos

Northwood at CdM

Harvard-Westlake at Dos Pueblos

Wild-card B at El Toro (winner of Tuesday’s match: Laguna Hils at Esperanza)
