Weekend Update

Newport Varsity put an uninspiring second game of the South Coast tournament behind them and showed their true colors in the final two games on Saturday. Daily Pilot article.
“Tired of losing,” Coach Jason Lynch said. “Every game that we have lost, which is five now, we think we could’ve won every one of them.”
Meanwhile, the JV's pounded all opponents and finished the San Clemente JV tournment in 1st place.

UCLA let the title slip away with the semifinal loss to Stanford Sunday morning. Bruin news release. Bruins finished in fourth place after losing to Cal, 12-11, in the last second of overtime. Bruin news release. Bruins face Standford at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center this coming Saturday.
